With any outdoor event during the cooler months, keeping everyone warm and comfortable is a top priority. Your special day should be spent celebrating, not shivering; stay cozy with the following tips:
While it may be tempting to go for show stopping gowns that bare skin, it’s important to consider how well you’ll do outdoors. Wearing warm tights and boots under your dress can help prevent chills, and a stylish (mock) fur shawl will give your shoulders and back some protection from the cold as well. Make sure your guests know to dress for the weather as well, and are advised that temperatures may dip below what is expected since the mountain air can often be colder than most anticipate.
Have Supplies on Hand
Another great way to keep the cold at bay is to keep a healthy stock of warm blankets, hand warmers, and even space heaters on hand. Have warm beverages available (why not consider a hot chocolate bar!) and consider offering gloves as wedding favours.
